Ask us first.Aid is possible.

Financial aid is decided case by case, using last year’s taxes, household size, and expenses, with board and administration approval.

How aid works

Aid is decided family by family, not by formula.

Huda Academy does not publish a sliding scale or an income cut-off. Each request for financial aid is looked at on its own, with the whole of a family’s situation in view.

That matters, because two families with the same income can be in very different positions. One may have more children at home, or heavier costs to carry. Looking at each case on its own lets the school see that difference.

What the school looks at

When a family asks for help, the school considers:

  • the family’s taxes from the previous year
  • the size of the household
  • the family’s expenses

Together these give a fair picture of what a family can reasonably pay, and where help would make the difference.

Who decides

Aid is approved by the school’s board and its administration. Every award is agreed at that level, case by case, so a request is weighed by the people responsible for the school’s budget as a whole.

Before you rule the school out

If cost is the thing standing between your family and Huda Academy, ask. For Kindergarten to Grade 9, the Arkansas voucher already covers most of tuition, and every aid request is looked at on its own. The office on 501-565-3555 can talk it through with you.

How to apply

Applying for aid, one step at a time.

Applying for financial aid is separate from registering your child, and it is best started early, alongside your enrollment.

  1. Apply online

Financial aid has its own application, made online through the school’s Blackbaud financial-aid portalNeeds fixing. Ask the office for this year’s deadline before you begin, so your application is in on time.

  2. Share your tax and household details

The application asks for the information the school uses to decide: your taxes from the previous year, the size of your household and your family’s expenses. Having last year’s tax return on hand makes this step much quicker.

  3. The board and administration review it

Your application is reviewed by the school’s board and administration, who look at each family’s situation on its own rather than against a fixed scale, and approve aid case by case.

Lowering the cost

Other ways to lower what a year costs.

Financial aid is not the only help available. Depending on your child’s grade, the state voucher or a PreK discount may already bring the cost down.

For Kindergarten to Grade 9, the Arkansas voucher pays $7,208Needs fixing of the $9,500 tuition. That leaves a family $2,292Needs fixing for the year, paid in ten monthly payments.

The voucher is paid through ClassWallet. If the money does not come through ClassWallet, the family is responsible for the full tuition, so set up your account early.

The Tuition page explains the voucher step by step.

PreK

Two PreK discounts.

PreK tuition is $8,500 a year. A second child in PreK receives $500 off, and families who pay the whole year at the start receive $500 off.

Whether the two discounts can be combinedNeeds fixing is being confirmed with the school.

There is no sibling discount from Kindergarten to Grade 9. Families who register by May 31 also receive a discounted rate; ask the office what it is worth for your child’s grade.

Cost need not decide

Don’t rule us out yet.
